EVANGELICAL CHURCH IN BADEN
#WANDELMUT

The project was created as a collaboration between the Ankerstelle Mannheim
(a center for students and young adults run by the Evangelical Church in Baden) and me.

Under the official hashtag #wandelmut (a play on words combining change/transformation and courage), biblical figures from
the Passion and Easter stories—such as the Disciples on the Road to Emmaus—were completely reimagined in a contemporary style.

Starting on Palm Sunday 2021, these modern illustrations were put up as paste-ups (large-format posters) on various building facades
and public squares across Mannheim, turning the city into an open-air gallery to bring the Easter message directly into the urban space.
